about

This album is a collection of chiptunes (?) that I had a lot of fun making on an M8 Tracker during some spare time in quarantine. The past year has been a wild trip through many different moods and headspaces for me (and for all of us) so I wanted to create an album that takes the listener on a ride through some different styles and combinations of chiptune and other genres.

All tracks 1xM8.

A .zip of all song bundles with project and instrument files is included with the download :) Remove the .txt suffix from the archive and unzip. Use firmware 3.2.7 or later to view as the bundles have been updated as of 12/11/2023.

Tracks 9, "Where the Antennas Dance", and 12, "We Turn the Stars to Water", are reworks/remixes of previous ambient songs I released a while ago.

Track 14, "Punks vs Werewolves", also appears and was originally released on SINECRAFTER'S EMPORIUM XCHANGE YELLOWPAGES TOME, OR A DIRECTORY SITE and FREE-ROAMING ONLINE GAMER SANCTUARY FOR RECREATING IN ETERNITY, NEW DIGITAL SOUNDS circle (Volume 2) "good album" "now with 300% MORE SINES" compo which features a ton of amazing chiptune/digital fusion artists and which you should definitely check out here: sinecraft.bandcamp.com

The M8 Tracker is a portable sequencer/synth designed and developed by Timothy Lamb AKA Trash80. For more info about the M8 Tracker check out: dirtywave.com

Thanks for listening. I hope you enjoy it!

Tracker chiptunes to divert the Evil Eye. Funky grooves to de-weaponize the universe at war with you. Ambient music to quell early 21st Century paranoia. Don't forget your complimentary motel bath towel...
